Mercedes turning to alternative drives for Sprinter van.

The Sprinter 316 NGT fuel source will be natural gas drive and delivers savings of up to 30 percent, it is also up to 80 percent quieter than a model with a conventional drive system.

The 2nd generation Mercedes Sprinter Plug-in Hybrid has been undergoing customer testing since summer 2008 and burns up to 40% less diesel than a conventionally powered model.
